Construction of Eli Broad's new museum in Michigan pushed back

I didn't know that MSU's art program could tell the difference between a tube of paint and a beer can? (just a little Michigan college humor, kids)

Broad went to MSU for undergrad; I did not know that, seeing as his name is plastered everywhere here in LA. Can't MI suck a little more arts money from him? Come on MI, put on a little more lipstick and hike that skirt up, now that the State ain't taking you out for corndogs anymore.

if they build it...


I can't believe that this is England's first Gehry?! I thought every big country was required to have one? Well, in any case, it is wonderful to see a different design and I even enjoy the structure more when I read the inspiration. Go Gehry. You still got it dude.

The Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2008, which gives England the first built project by legendary architect Frank Gehry, is now open to the public. The spectacular structure – designed and engineered in collaboration with Arup – is anchored by four massive steel columns and is comprised of large timber planks and a complex network of overlapping glass planes that create a dramatic, multi-dimensional space.
